I graduated from The Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2007. For the next 9 years I worked alongside Chiropractors getting comfortable and confident treating in a professional and clinical setting.
I took a few years off being home after having our two daughters and started up my part-time private practice in 2019. 6 months into my private gig, an idea came to mind. THE idea came to mind. I wanted to offer breast massage for post-partum individuals struggling with the challenges that most of us do. If we search remedies for any type of breast inflammation conditions related to lactation, the top recommendation is massage. But I knew that most individuals wouldn’t feel comfortable or confident in how to self-massage. I knew this because I was one of them. When I experienced these issues after having my first daughter, I looked down to what it felt like a foreign part of my body. It was painful, awkward, and I, a Massage Therapist who had training in breast massage-had no idea where to even start. I was convinced that if this hands-on service was offered by a professional, it would change the way many experienced their post-partum journey. And so I decided to become that professional.
Once I began this journey, it became quickly evident just how important overall breast and chest care is. I aim to support anyone and everyone looking to instill different habits and therapies to achieve optimal health and wellness.Just recently, I opened up a small retail shop. I wanted to be able offer the same health promoting products that I recommend to my clients in the same space they came to see me. And why not extend that service to the community as a whole-far and wide?
